“You are enough”

The title quote is something we have all come across. Let’s face it, you are now in this website, because you would want to see something of yourself, change.

I have a story to share later in this post, keep reading.

There are social media posts that we keep seeing and that “You are enough”. The moment we see this, we believe we are enough, and the very cause for that post gets lost.

Let me tell you a hard truth and we all need to face this.

WE ARE ENOUGH, but for that we need to understand our immense potential that lies within us. In order to understand that potential, one needs to honor themselves by committing to consistent daily habits.

Without practising or committing to change oneself, there is no way ONE IS ENOUGH. By conditioning (or thinking) ourself to think that we are enough, we are limiting our TRUE POTENTIAL.

We are conditioned to think in our competitive academic environment that we are never enough (friends/family/teachers/social media), even if no one ever told us so directly. And then, when we get into our adult life, and made to think otherwise.

Be ignore our TRUE SELF. This may not be true for some, but for most, unfortunately, this is what i see with my clients. Same clients thought the same way, till they decided that its time.

I was made to think like that for many years, and remained complacent. It has taken me years and lot of pain along the way, to go from resistance to change, to, embracing change. This is why I wish to help those who are in need and self-committed to see who they really are.

Like the way i commit myself to Yoga, meditation, breathing, reading, learning, being creative, giving, receiving.

Every single day is a reason for a cause.

That reason is to know that at the end of the day, when i write my gratitude list, i thank everything around me and tell myself “I AM ENOUGH” because i have done the work it needs.

Exercise your body 'and' the mind

As I stand waiting and wanting the next exercise in my gym, i observe something.

I see people with their trainers and wanting to be pushed.

To me, this is not a good long-term solution, but as a short term, if someone needs to be guided or shown on how to use the different equipment’s in the gym, why not. However, i find these examples everywhere with situations that we face.

Everyone, including myself, needs to be pushed and what if we can change that thinking to been pulled towards our goals in life.

This is why I truly believe in the concept of having the right mental strength / resilience to win in different areas of our life.

Let me stick with the gym, as an example.

Someone, who is currently going to the gym and as a trainer starts to follow the rigorous regimen by the trainer. This person starts to loose weight, starts getting in shape and finds approval/positivism from people around them.

They are very proud of their achievement, but what happens, once they decide to do it on their own either because it gets too expensive for them or have the confidence in them to do so. This is where most fall-out because they are used to having someone push them.

Thus, the importance of cultivating habits or even better a deeper motivation within them self to continue doing the process.

Motivation needs to come within themselves. One of the ways to finding motivation, is understanding why they are doing , what they are doing. One needs to reach that stage or threshold where they can continue once they reach they know their underlying motivation within.

To understand that, this is why I preach the importance of having the right mental tools to empower individuals. Someone with the right mental capacity can push themselves physically and someone who has then the right physical capacity, can push one mentally.

It is a cycle of continuous positivity and thus going to that desired state.

This is why, the importance of having someone as a mentor or a guide or a coach or a trainer to help them to reach that threshold. Once they reach there, even the sky becomes limitless.

Conditioning

Reading the book ‘ The art of living’ has brought me some insights on how we need to reprogram our mind. I am also pursuing NLP - Neuro linguistic programming where it lays emphasizes on how we think as Humans.

He writes about how we have been raised in a certain way and i speak about this in my podcast link ‘The art of living - Part 1’

NLP is basically being aware of our basic senses and how we react to situations. More often than not, we are conditioned or programmed to think in a certain way when someone tells us something.

NLP is all about us as humans having the control our emotions or responses in the event someone or something or a smell activates our neurons to react. It helps us to reprogram our brain and our mind to be programmed in an another way. The results are just at a superficial level when its done by a NLP expert for few minutes, but it will need to be worked on much deeper level.

It is getting into our sub-conscious mind and for some of us, it will be easy while for some it is going to take a while.

There was this excellent article i came across and the link to it is below.
